The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in pricing and shaping major water and sewer infrastructure projects. Based on the Sunshine Coast. You will also have some WFH flexibility, variety and the chance to contribute to projects that directly impact local communities.

This role suits someone who enjoys first-principles estimating, collaborating with delivery teams and thinking creatively to drive value and constructability.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quantities and pricing for water and sewer projects

• Conduct site inspections and assess project-specific conditions

• Program and sequence works in consultation with construction teams

• Interpret drawings, specifications and standards for cost implications

• Develop first-principles estimates and TOC / RAMP submissions

• Review subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Support tender handovers and pre-contracts for successful project delivery

About You

You’re an experienced civil estimator who enjoys working through complex scopes and contributing to high-quality outcomes.

You’ll bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure estimating or project delivery

• Water / wastewater experience (preferred, not essential)

• Strong proficiency with Expert Estimator (essential)

• Capability with MS Office, Outlook and MS Project or Primavera

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

• Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to work across both low and high value tenders

The Role

Estimator – Civil Infrastructure

Location: Building 14, Ground Level, 2728 Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains

This role sits within a rapidly growing team delivering major civil infrastructure projects. As an Estimator, you will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates across a range of civil works, helping ensure profitability while supporting Unyte’s continued expansion.

You’ll work closely with bid managers, project management, procurement and operations teams to develop winning tenders and robust delivery strategies.

Your Everyday

• Review tender documents and manage quantity take-offs
• Prepare detailed estimates using Expert Estimation software
• Develop construction methodologies and staging plans
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
• Identify risks and opportunities and propose innovative solutions
• Participate in tender reviews and client negotiations
• Support onboarding and mentoring of junior estimators
• Work with Construction Managers to develop first-principle estimates and validate buildability assumptions
• Proactively communicate with Bid Managers to shape compelling tenders aligned with client objectives

About You

This is a hands-on role where you will take full ownership of the project from early bid and tender response through planning, engineering collaboration, procurement, on-site coordination, delivery, finance, client communication, and final handover.

You will lead with confidence, bring structure, manage internal teams effectively, and drive the project forward to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full lifecycle project management, from initiation to completion
