What You’ll Be Trusted With

  • Take ownership of self-performed civil and structural works, giving you hands-on exposure across key parts of project delivery.
  • Help ensure works are delivered safely, to specification, and within budget and program.
  • Prepare, monitor and update weekly and monthly plans so the project team has clear visibility of what needs to happen next.
  • Provide engineering and technical advice on site, giving you the opportunity to become a trusted problem-solver rather than a back-office engineer.
  • Support procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers, strengthening your commercial understanding and supplier coordination skills.
  • Drive quality requirements and documentation so work is delivered right the first time.
  • Contribute to programming, sequencing and 4-week lookaheads across labour, plant and scope.
  • Identify delivery risks early and work with the site team to resolve issues before they affect progress.
  • Coordinate subcontractor claims, variations, delays and extension-of-time requirements, helping you build stronger contract administration capability.
  • Work alongside supervisors to connect engineering intent with practical, best-for-project delivery on site.

 About You

  • You hold a Civil Engineering degree or similar qualification.
  • You bring around 2-5 years’ experience as an engineer on civil infrastructure projects.
  • You can read and interpret civil, structural and services drawings.
  • You are confident managing and raising technical queries.
  • You understand construction scheduling, sequencing and quality control systems.
  • You have a strong safety record and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.
  • You suit a hands-on environment where you can take ownership, work closely with site teams and keep learning.
