Senior Cost Engineer Civil RPEQ
Salary $160K- $170K plus super

The job
The purpose of the Senior Cost Engineer role is to ensure that engineering projects are completed within budget by providing accurate cost estimates, conducting cost analysis, and identifying cost-saving measures. This role is focused predominantly on transport and water.
- Develop and maintain cost estimates for engineering projects
- Conduct cost analysis on engineering projects and provide accurate estimates for materials, labour, and other expenses
- Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects
- Advise project managers on cost-saving measures and cost-effective solutions
- Evaluate and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts
- Analyze and review contractor bids to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare bills of quantities for materials, labour, and equipment required for the project
- Work with engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all requirements and regulations
- Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors
- Monitor and report on project expenses and ensure that project finances are properly managed
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders
You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management. RPEQ or ability to attain one
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering or construction cost estimating
- Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of engineering materials, building regulations, and construction methods
- Experience with estimating software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
